We are in a season that is called a sacrificial season, but the sacrificial season is aimed at redeeming. It all began around the time of Moses because it was a time of redemption and God instructed them to have a Passover season. Even when our Lord Jesus Christ came, He fulfilled it, He utilized it to redeem.
If you read the book of Exodus 12:12-14 it will explain what I am talking about. It says, ‘For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord. Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt. ‘So, this day shall be to you a memorial; and you shall keep it as a feast to the Lord throughout your generations. You shall keep it as a feast by an everlasting ordinance.’
So, when the LORD was redeeming them, He said, “I will send an Angel, but this Angel will come with some destructive powers but how shall we be redeemed and be saved? How will you be identified? He said, ‘Put blood on your door, the blood of the lamb, sacrificial blood, so that when a destructive angel comes, he will just passby, he will not harm you.'
That was the time of Moses, and God instructed, ‘Let it be done in all seasons, in every year and in all generations.’ Here comes Jesus.
In the book of Luke 22:7-13 ‘Then came the Day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover must be killed. And He sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.” So, they said to Him, “Where do You want us to prepare?” And He said to them, "Behold when you have entered the city, a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him into the house which he enters. Then you shall say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, "Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?" 'Then he will show you a large, furnished upper room; there make ready." So, they went and found it just as He had said to them, and they prepared the Passover.
This explains that Jesus Christ Himself participated in the Passover and practiced it. But what am I trying to drive at? That it’s a season of redemption. And during the redemption season, there are spiritual battles. If you are not careful you may ask yourself so many questions, why is this thing happening now? Why am I having bad dreams? What is this? I don’t understand what is going on! It’s a season we fight back and redeem ourselves by the Blood of Jesus Christ. It helps you not to have many questions because you are ready to encounter and defeat your enemy.
As people prepare for the Passover season, they are preparing for their redemption. Some religions go into fasting for the entire season, others just choose a time to do a sacrificial element of faith. But in it all, those who are spiritually active get to know how to utilize seasons, time and times. So, I want you to be awake in the spirit knowing that you are in the redemption season and redemption time but you must prepare yourself to be prayerful, praying for protection and being spiritually awake. When you read in the Bible the scripture says they ate unleavened bread.
Luke 22:7 “Then came the Day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover must be killed. And He sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.”
Unleavened bread. Leaven in the bread is just a symbol of sin. So, they were eating unleavened bread, meaning they lived a sinless life for the season so that they can overcome and Jesus did it in preparation of His body as a Lamb that shall redeem and overcome for mankind.
It is time you work towards any stronghold that has been working against you for a long time. I know some of you have been dreaming about them. God is saying, ‘Fight it again. Fight again. You are getting there.' You do not have to say, ‘Ooh things seem too hard…' No! You can never be a victor or a conqueror not until you have fought and defeated. Never allow your faith to shake. Harden! Because you are at the point of your victory! Fight like a lion.
That is the season we are in until the resurrection day, Easter. And that is what it means in the spiritual world. In the physical world, it’s a day of eating and dancing, dressing smartly but in the spiritual world, it’s a time of fighting for your redemption.
Say, ‘Lord Jesus Christ, Lamb of God, overcome for me. Fight for me and grant me victory.’
